Liz’s Review~Crow (Boston Underworld, #1) by A. Zavarelli

“I wanted none of this. But I’ve no choice now.”

Mackenzie is a survivor who has made a life for herself despite her upbringing and difficult circumstances. When her best friend disappears, she will stop at nothing to find her and bring her home. When the police give up their search, Mack takes it upon herself to infiltrate the Irish Mob and invade the ranks of Lachlan Crow and his band of brothers. Although the stakes are high for Mack to succeed, it doesn’t take her long to find herself in Lachlan’s care and in his bed. Lachlan is quite taken with Mack and they quickly forge a passionate connection that blooms into so much more. Is Lachlan willing to sacrifice it all to be with Mack and what will happen when he discovers the truth? The connection between Lachlan and Mack is intense and thoroughly explored. As the suspense continues to build, the tension is great between these characters to survive.

“I’m a slave to this man. The power he holds over me is ridiculous.”

Told in dual POV, Crow is the first book in the Boston Underworld Series. Full of action, suspense, and smoking hot sex, this contemporary romance will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire read. There were certainly moments where the plot stretched and pulled beyond the realm of possibility and yet, who wouldn’t want to escape into the underworld with some hot Irish mobsters?

I thoroughly enjoyed the dynamics between the characters and if you are a fan of mob romance than Crow and Mack are sure to please! This was my first A. Zavarelli book and I certainly look forward to reading more from this author!
