Rush Dempsey was raised with the prestige of wealth and power, expected to uphold the family name. However, upon becoming a member of The Elite, Rush is looking to make an impression in a sinfully different way. As the saying goes, laissez les bons temps rouler.

“I’m on a mission, and I won’t stop until each and every one of those motherfuckers is brought to justice for what they’ve done.”

In previous books, Rush is on the periphery, but seems to have a pulse on all that has occurred. Getting his POV and a sense of his motives upholds his enigmatic character. As for Rush and Isabelle Savoie, while it happens fast, Rush has a dirty mouth that is satisfying and blasphemous. Isabelle shows she has a backbone and offers Rush what he needs.

“You fixed me with your holy pussy.” “Rush,” she squealed, pushing me into the confessional as we passed it. “You’re impossible.”

Regarding the ongoing Elite plot, much happens in this book. While some interesting plot points develop, the pace is quick. However, one particular scene made me question the intentions of all the Elite and how they differ from their predecessors. Somehow, I still hold some hope that the impossible might happen.

Sloth is about revenge and finding purpose. I am curious to read Greed, the final volume of this series, to see how twisted it will all end.

Thea Hughes grew up in a loving family and always lived spontaneously, pursing her creativity as a painter. At 21, with all on the horizon for Thea, tragedy strikes and she is forced to live in a restricted existence. Two years later, and on a continually scripted reel, Thea is desperate to break out of her shell.

“She was direct as hell but smiled at me as if there was a secret between us that only we knew.”

For most of his life, Jim Whelan was bounced between foster homes until finally reaching eighteen. Now 24, Jim has relocated to a new town in hopes of getting an orderly position at the Blue Ridge Sanitarium. Accustomed to keeping to himself, Jim doesn’t talk much but a certain resident captures his attention.

“Nothing good lasts,” I said. “That’s been a truth of my life.”

As the plot becomes invested in the lives of these two characters, the differences between Jim and Thea are many, yet Jim remains a good-hearted person despite his past. Following his instinct, Jim believes he is acting in Thea’s best interest even when it may jeopardize his own circumstance. This selfless behavior runs true to Jim’s giving nature. Of course, Thea’s experience is one that is uniquely hers and when she has the opportunity to live beyond, and without regret, she seizes it.

“Not whole. We’re both a little cracked and imperfect, but I love us.”

Together, Jim and Thea balance each other, as she gives Jim the unconditional acceptance he’s been seeking, while Jim is an anchor to Thea’s whirlwind personality. With this story, the level of character dimension is rich and delves into vulnerabilities and the notion of living in the now.

Without a doubt, Jim is an absolute standout character and I empathized with his situation on multiple levels. Given Thea’s condition, it is hard not to be sympathetic to her plight, yet Thea didn’t want sympathy, which is a commendable trait. The idea that they took advantage of every minute together was moving. Overall, I enjoyed the premise of this book and the variables that could happen.

A Five-Minute Life is a poignant and thought provoking romance about love and resilience.

Baxter Samuel Goddard V, known as God, was raised with a sense of entitlement and luxury due to his family’s status as one of the wealthiest in the world. Being the sole heir, God knew the path he was going to take and was prepared for the inevitable until becoming a member of the Elite and crashing into Zemira Coleman’s life.

“Money is the root of all evil.” My words are meant to hurt him. He simply shrugs. “It’s the only thing I have. I suppose that makes God the devil.”

Told in dual POV, the plot takes an interesting turn from the outset which shows God’s true self and inner conflict. As the dynamic between God and Zemira offers a unique perspective to these characters, it also leads to a solid connection despite their circumstances.

“The way he tapped into my soul and had a little taste. Maybe a bad man needs a taste of a little good.”

From the beginning of this series, I was intrigued by God’s personality, but I did not expect such thoughtful depth and it richened his character. As for Zemira, she is strong despite the adversity she had to overcome and I truly enjoyed her addition to the series. Of course, the ongoing plot continues to evolve with some surprises but all is ultimately pointing to the end game.

Gluttony is about the multiple faces of privilege and the disadvantaged.

Control and professionalism used to be something they prided themselves on.

But now that we’re secluded and alone, lines blur and control quickly loses to need.

Someone is trying to snuff out my life, but they may not get the chance if I’m devoured whole by my saviors first.

About K. Webster

K Webster is the author of dozens of romance books in many different genres including contemporary romance, historical romance, paranormal romance, and erotic romance. When not spending time with her husband of twelve years and two adorable children, she’s active on social media connecting with her readers.

Her other passions besides writing include reading and graphic design. K can always be found in front of her computer chasing her next idea and taking action. She looks forward to the day when she will see one of her titles on the big screen.

About Ker Dukey

My books all tend to be darker romance, edge of you seat, angst filled reads. My advice to my readers when starting one of my titles…prepare for the unexpected.

I have always had a passion for storytelling, whether it be through lyrics or bed time stories with my sisters growing up.
My mum would always have a book in her hand when I was young and passed on her love for reading, inspiring me to venture into writing my own. I tend to have a darker edge to my writing. Not all love stories are made from light; some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling.

When I’m not lost in the world of characters I love spending time with my family. I’m a mum and that comes first in my life but when I do get down time I love attending music concerts or reading events with my younger sister.

Clove Sterling has been sheltered her entire life by her politician father. For the past six years, her four security guards kept careful watch and also became her confidantes. Currently at 23 years old, Clove wants to act on her fantasies and make all four guys her own in every way. When a threat arises, Clove believes this may be her chance.

“I’m going to combust. No same person could survive these men. You’d have to be a saint not to want them. I’m no saint.”

Being a reverse harem theme in the KKinky Reads collection, I was expecting dirty story. The kinkery was definitely filthy with Clove being wanton and all four guards filling her to the brim, yet I was hoping for more to occur. However, I liked how the men shared Clove and how she was insatiable.

“But if she’s going to carry on a sexual relationship with four men all at once, then she’s going to have to train her cunt to take four dicks like a champ.”

As for the four men, each had a unique personality and offering. Sebastian is definitely sexy, but Zac won me over completely. Overall, I liked how Clove was comfortable with her sexuality.

Share Me is a quick and kinky read that will appeal to those looking for a dirty fix. I look forward to reading additional books from the KKinky Reads collection.

Series: Antihero Inferno #1
Author: Lily White
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Release Date: May 29, 2019

Ninth Circle.
Treachery.
Also known as Tanner Caine.

He is a temptation with cold, dark eyes.
A man with a seductive smirk and a body built for pure sin.
The linchpin of a group of wealthy bad boys known as the Inferno.

A dark presence that repels as much as he attracts, Tanner is the poisoned apple I want to bite even when I know it will destroy me.

Our story started in college, but I ran from him so far I believed I was safe.
I should have known he’d find me eventually.
I should have known that nobody escapes.

He has me in his sights again with an offer I can’t pass up.
I know better than to make a deal with the Devil.
Not unless I’m willing to pay his sensual price…

(Treachery is Book One of the Antihero Inferno Series. Nine Standalone novels. Nine dangerous men. Nine unrepentant sinners you’ll hate to love.)
“What is your problem with me, Tanner? I haven’t done one thing to you and it seems like every time we get near each other, you’re either yelling at me or trying to make me the butt of some joke.”

In truth, the only issue I had with Luca was that I needed something from her.

If anything, Luca would have been a nice distraction for a night, a warm body to share my bed for however many hours it took for me to get bored with her. But that wasn’t how fate brought us together, and unfortunately for her, I was the bear trap waiting to clamp down on her leg, one she wouldn’t escape unless she gnawed her way out of it.

Nobody likes to gnaw off their own leg.

She would take the deal. If not tonight, then tomorrow. I could be patient when I had to.

“Just take the deal, Luca.”

“No.”

I took one step toward her. She took two steps back. It was a mating dance of sorts between the strong and the weak, the predator and the prey. Her back hit a wall as I closed in on her, my arms coming up to cage her in, my head lowering until the tips of our noses touched and our lips were a teasing inch apart.

Trying not to remember how sweet those lips had tasted the last time we’d been this close, I lowered my voice to a gritty whisper. “Has anybody ever told you it’s easier to catch a fly with honey than it is with vinegar?”

The heat between us was staggering. Never in my life had a girl aggravated me to the point of intense desire. I found myself running a slow trail down her body with my eyes, taking note of the way her chest moved with each harsh breath, how her arms hung at her side, her hands balling and releasing as thoughts raced through her pretty little head.

With each inhalation of the air we shared, the tip of her breasts would rub against my chest, and damn if I didn’t like it.

Who the hell was his woman and why was she being so difficult?

Our eyes met again as my knee nudged her legs to part, a sneer curling my lip to see her eyes widen and her mouth drop open. She was feeling the same thing as me.

I would use that to my advantage.
